Graduate Engineer

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of schemes from early conception, through to planning, detailed design and delivery. The role will allow you to tackle technical challenges, while support will be provided to develop your knowledge of the industry. As the business grows, opportunities will be available for you to progress and be rewarded accordingly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting project engineers in preparing drawings, calculations, reports and design documents;
  • Completing site visits to review project constraints and the construction process as required within schemes;
  • Reviewing and building knowledge of design software anddesign guides;
  • Following Link Engineering procedures for completing work to the highest standard and adding value to schemes;
  • Identifying and managing risks within your area of responsibility;
  • Coordinating with project engineers, engineering technicians and senior team involved in scheme delivery;
  • Providing 360 degree feedback to line manager and
    business directors.

Desired Skills

  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and development;
  • A passion for engineering and problem solving;
  • Experience in highway, infrastructure or drainage will be advantageous, but is not essential;
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D or Microdrainage will be advantageous, but is not essential;

Qualifications

A degree in Engineering is essential; MEng is preferred.
